Tres Estrellas is a relatively young brand in the world of matches, where brands are usually very old. It was launched in 1994 to create a strong brand in a market without any prominent brands. In 2000, the brand’s design and values were updated. Today, Tres Estrellas is the best-known brand of matches in Spain and a market-leading lighter product.
Tres Estrellas matches are packed in a wooden matchbox, which can be conveniently stored in the pocket of a shirt, pair of pants, or jacket. Our aim is to always produce a match that is safe, reliable and environmentally sound. Our matches are subject to higher requirements than the European standard (EN 1783:1997), and our testing and analysis methods are more complex. Tres Estrellas wood wool is the natural choice for lighting fires, BBQs, fireplaces, or stoves, and it is ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. It ignites quickly, burns for more than 10 minutes, and does not alter the taste of food. The wood wool is made from European FSC® certified pine and spruce, and vegetable wax.
Tres Estrellas ecological firelighter cubes are made from compressed recycled wood and toxin-free paraffin oil. The cubes contain no hydrocarbons or toxic metals. They are pleasant to use as they do not produce an odour during combustion. Each cube has a burn time of 5 minutes.
